DinEtiquette Deck from Thelma Domenici & Associates
Helps Market Restaurants and Improve Patron Etiquette in a
Fun, Low-Key Manner

Albuquerque, NM -- The DinEtiquette Deck from Thelma Domenici & Associates is an innovative marketing tool for restaurants that can also help teach patrons the finer points of dining etiquette and manners and improve the overall dining out experience.

The set of 50 cards covers topics such as correct use of utensils, navigating table settings, napkin usage, wine selection and corresponding stemware, handling hard to eat foods like chicken, asparagus, fish with bones, cherry tomatoes, and much more.

Printed with the restaurant's logo and information on one side and different dining tips on the other, the cards can also serve as a unique and memorable business card for the dining establishment. Placing individual cards from the set at each place setting can provide restaurant patrons with a fun conversation-starter.

Each deck can include customized "wild cards," gift certificates for dining at the restaurant, to encourage repeat business. Restaurants can also reinforce their branding efforts by selling interested patrons DinEtiquette Decks that carry their logo, location and contact information. Scalo Northern Italian Grill in Albuquerque, NM is the first restaurant to pilot the use of the decks, and they are proving to be popular items.

"It is vital to school our young in the finer points of dining to help them become successful professionally and socially when they grow up," said Thelma Domenici, creator of the DinEtiquette Deck. "With busy families dining out more often while running between soccer, piano lessons and Scouts, etiquette education that used to happen at home around the dinner table might take place in a restaurant, or perhaps no place at all. Adults could benefit from this information as well."

Thelma Domenici is a modern etiquette expert who learned good manners from her Italian immigrant parents and honed her skills in corporate America. As president of Thelma Domenici & Associates, Domenici combines her business acumen and social savvy to share with professionals to preteens the contemporary social skills that bring personal confidence and success. The DinEtiquette Deck is one of the innovative teaching tools she has pioneered to help teach modern manners. Even in the rush of today's busy society, "Good manners never go out of style."

Don't let the spirit of giving get out of control
By Jason Gibbs Sun-News reporter

Excerpt from The Las Cruces Sun News, November 23, 2006.

. . . There are plenty of other approaches to keep the holiday spirit without carrying debt, said Thelma Domenici — a well-known New Mexico etiquette consultant in both the business and personal realms.

Domenici, the sister of Sen. Pete Domenici and a well-known Albuquerque consultant and newspaper columnist, advises keeping the spirit of the season in mind instead of buying into expensive gift-giving routines.

"I don't think of Christmas as only a gift-giving time," she said. "Materialism creeps in and we forget to spend time together. I don't like to exclude the gift part totally. But people shouldn't think Christmas is just about gift giving. It's a time to spend time together."

Instead of sending your family finances into a tailspin, think creatively and limit the dollar amount of the gifts you choose to give, she said. (continued)
